The turning point that defines American exceptionalism—“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” Genesis 1:1.

Americans can disassociate from any feelings of guilt caused by incessant liberal authoritarian critics. In 1776, when things were worse than now, we won and freedom’s enemies lost. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness” (Declaration of Independence).

Americans humbly reached beyond the arbitrary rule of man and failed practices of secular political correctness. The definitions for reality essential to education are in the Bible. Creation’s God responds to the righteous prayers of the people. Sometimes He answers our prayers in supernatural ways. He liberated the Israelites from the tyranny of Pharaoh’s army (Exodus 14). Some believe the victory of the United States over the greatest army on earth at the time, Great Britain, was the result of supernatural intervention. Our prayers to God can be part of our testimony for political dialogue.

“The Amor Patriae is both moral and a religious duty. It comprehends not only the love of our neighbors but millions of our fellow creatures, not only the present but of future generations. This virtue we find constitutes a part of the first character of history” (Dr. Benjamin Rush, Essay on Patriotism).

We do not know what Jesus of Nazareth looked like, but hundreds of millions of people are thankful for what He accomplished.

A reason for optimism includes parents by the thousands who are now moving their children out of government-controlled tenure-granting education systems to independent schools controlled by parents. Education has become a secular church-state factory for producing undemocratic Democrats and undemocratic Republicans by the millions. It was Bible-believing church denominations, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists and others, that insisted the First Amendment religion/education freedom be adopted and apply to all religions, NOT JUST THEIR OWN.

Be optimistic. The best days are yet to come, but all of us, as did early Americans, have work to do. The most popular book of all time, the Judeo-Christian Bible, is much more than a contemporary definition of religion. People are free to reject Christ or place Him on the throne of their lives by acknowledging they have done wrong and accepting Christ’s righteous payment for their sins. Christ’s sacrifice for man’s sins is beyond compare.
