Secularism and socialism are related and have shared histories. It is spoken of in the first chapter of the Bible. Satan is the father of lies, also known as “moral revisionism.”
Humanity the world over can read about the miraculous creation of life and God’s benevolent support for life. God is man’s Benefactor and that is settled forever. Truth, life and justice are all inter-connected. The issue is, does a person want to live according to the just laws of nature that preserve the miracle of life, or not? The graveyards of history are full of empires that perished prematurely while the Bible lives on.
So does America have one foot in the grave? “The strides made by Marxism at American universities in the last two decades are breathtaking,” says New York University’s Herbert London. He reported that two self-declared Marxist historians, Eugene Genovese and William A. Williams, were elected presidents of the Organization of American Historians in successive elections. Louis Kampf, a radical with Marxist predilections, was elected president of the Modern Languages Association.” “Marxist academics are today’s power elite in the universities”.*

For the first [now over 340 years] of this country’s history, religion and education were intimate and interdependent. Religious competition does stir controversy, but religious freedom enriches rather than impoverishes public policy and the education process.**
In 1950, President Harry S. Truman, addressing the Attorney General’s Conference on Law Enforcement Problems, emphasized the Higher Authority Common Law basis for our laws that have been in place since Americans settled the wilderness. “The most important business in this Nation or any other nation, for that matter is raising and training children. If those children have the proper environment at home, and educationally, very, very few of them ever turn out wrong. I don’t think we put enough stress on the necessity of implanting in the child’s mind the moral code under which we live. The fundamental basis of this Nation’s law was given to Moses on Mount Sinai. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings which we get from Exodus and Matthew, from Isaiah and Paul. If we don’t have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”
Prior to the emergence of big government supremacist judges, Common Law rule of law standards included the parameters for civil behavior provided by the Ten Commandments, Exodus 20, and the Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12. The two systems are a contrast between Higher Authority-based rule of law and secular-based rule of man.
In the fall of 2005, researchers at the University of Connecticut’s National Civic Literacy Board conducted a survey of some 14,000 freshmen and seniors at 50 colleges and universities. Students were asked 60 multiple-choice questions to measure their knowledge in four subject areas: America’s history, government, international relations and market economy. The seniors, on average, failed all four subjects; their overall average score was 53.2 percent.***
Students are no longer being taught the historic American principles for self-reliance and liberty. They are not told the truth about socialism and its debilitating consequences.
