Religious freedom in education means that hired teachers agree to teach students about the harmful consequences which follow immoral lifestyles. Allowing the poison of anti-God rhetoric to undermine belief in foundational American values is intolerable. Teacher candidates found to encourage experimentation with immoral diversities should, by law, be rejected from employment.
The Constitution and the free exercise of religion apply just as much inside public schools as they do anywhere else. Religion has been defined as a strongly held belief about the origin, meaning and purpose of life.
James Madison wrote an essay, Who Are the Keepers of the People’s Liberties? The following is an excerpt. “Although all men are born free, and all nations might be so, yet too true it is, that slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant—they had been cheated; asleep—they have been surprised; divided—the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? That because the people may betray themselves, they ought to give themselves up, blindfolded, to those who have an interest in betraying them? Rather conclude that the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united.”
What is one of the first things Karl Marx and his Communist friends did when they achieved control in Russia? They took religious freedom with the Bible out of education and instituted a worldwide propaganda war against the cohesiveness of marriage and the family. How else to best destroy society? Freedom for alternative education providers is foundational.
Parents, teachers and others who advocate moral absolutes, such as thou shall not steal or tell lies, and explain why, are not prudes. Morality is the backbone for every aspect of civil community and industry. It is the secular enemies of the family and Higher Authority who have gone bonkers.
In a letter dated June 10, 1778, Abigail Adams emphasized to their young son, John Quincy, who would later become our sixth president:
“Great learning and superior abilities, should you ever possess them, will be of little value and small Estimation, unless Virtue, Honor, Truth, and integrity are added to them. Adhere to those religious Sentiments and principles that were early installed into your mind and remember that you are accountable to your Maker for all your words and actions. Let me enjoin it upon you to attend constantly and steadfastly to the precepts and instructions of your Father as you value the happiness of your Mother and your own welfare. His care and attention to you render many things unnecessary for me to write which I might otherwise do, but the inadvertency and Heedlessness of youth, requires line upon line and precept upon precept, and when enforced by the joint efforts of both parents will I hope have a due influence upon your Conduct, for dear as you are to me, I had much rather you should have found your Grave in the ocean you have crossed, or any untimely death crop you in your Infant years, rather than see you an immoral profligate or Graceless child.”
