Heartland Foundation, Inc. receives gifts as a not-for-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public service organization. It was established in 1981 by David A. Norris who has served as president and CEO without pay.
For Iowa taxpayers, we recommend gifting of $100 or more to the Heartland Foundation, Inc. The title used by Community Foundations Greater Des Moines, established by the Iowa legislature, is “Endowment to Restore Ageless Educational Principles.”
That program normally enables Iowa contributors to achieve a 25% state tax credit in addition to a 501(c)(3) public service federal tax reduction. Corporation gifting is very helpful. Like donations to a church, this gift may be a deductible business expense.
We have two options for giving, by mail or through Endow Iowa Direct.
Those familiar with the community-wide Hope for America strategy handbook can alert their associates, neighbors, leaders, etc. by giving out copies of the handbook. Supporters can download the book here or purchase the book from second hand book sellers, such as Amazon, eBay, Thrift Books, etc.
